Plans Ahead

Moving Forward

I have just got back from an event hosted by the company that is helping us with our new branding. We had to stop for a minute, and think about where we were at the beginning of the year, and where we are now. If I’m honest, where we were at the start of the year is not where we planned to be. We are so much further ahead!

As a lot of you know, we don’t sit still at Preston Hall, everything is constantly evolving. I thought it might be worth stopping for a moment and running through where we are and where we are headed, as there are a few changes coming down the line.

Obviously we have just hosted our fourth LEAF Open Farm Sunday and we were really pleased. We had slightly less people than last year, but we felt the day ran smoother and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves. It is likely to remain the one constant day that we host, despite the changes coming so please feel free to give us any feedback on this event as we do try and improve it every year.

As you will be aware we have been quietly working away on the main house now for a few years. Last summer we ramped it up and are very close to completing the final few rooms. We will end up with an eleven bedroom house, that sleeps twenty two people. The aim is to make The Big House, a short term let property, but also host small, intimate events.

To coincide with this launch, we have been working towards a rebrand. This has been a really exciting process and we hope that when we reveal it, you feel that what you see is more reflective of who we are now. Our existing branding was done when we were still living in London and we needed to have some sort of online presence. We have come a long way in five years so feel it is the right time to have a new identity to support what we are doing.

As part of this process, we have been figuring out who we are and what our offering is. The new brand will represent the hospitality side of the business, which consists of our three holiday lets, the big house, and the walled garden. Each will become commercial entities, so we have made the decision to not host any open days in the garden going forward, but to make it available as a hireable space. This will be developed over the next year, but the aim is to have smaller intimate events.

We are very excited to go on the journey ahead of us as we move more into the accommodation and event space, but fully appreciate the hard work that goes into making it all happen.

The other bit of news is slightly more relevant to those that live locally, but we will be turning the old school at Pathhead into an extension of Rosemains Steading. The aim is to support individuals who work at home and provide them with a supportive environment to flourish and grow. We hope this will benefit those around us and grow the amazing community that we have built at Rosemains.

Our door is always open to feel free to pop in if anyone has got any questions.
